Nobody in particular. Just struck me as a funny twist of a phrase I see often on Bsky. Perhaps a comment on the pain I feel towards excessively marketing myself.

An unexpected perk of spending 3 years working on Japanese is that I can now also pick up a surprising number of Chinese characters.

Weirdly resonant with Gnostic mythology from 2000 years ago: the demiurge (AI analog) is incapable of true creation, but "believes" it can because it is unaware of the animating force (human analog) behind it. We end up with a broken universe as a result.

This is why I combine these in my writing!

I feel like you might appreciate Irreducible by Frederico Faggin (if you haven't already read it). He argues for the fundamental impossibility of using classical systems (GAI) to produce quantum systems (AGI, as it's theorized). I wonder if he's distilled the problem we're discussing to its essence.

THANK YOU! There is no "artificial intelligence" only augmented human intelligence and proxies/scapegoats.

Based on a cursory glance of your timeline, I'm going with:

Expedition 33 (just odds are)
Some anime stuff
Not fate, whatever that is
Cute indie things
Possibly Death Stranding

Last: Irreducible by Frederico Faggin

Now: Good strategy, Bad Strategy by Richard Rumelt

Next: Buddha of Suburbia by Hanef Kurershi OR (If I'm feeling more ambitious) La Horde du Contrevent by Alain Damasio

He was still too young to know that the heart’s memory eliminates the bad and magnifies the good, and that thanks to this artifice we manage to endure the burden of the past.
