Is this thing on? It’s been a while but it’s me again! I took a summer break to take care of my mom after heart surgery and now I’m back working this time at Mapbox as a Staff Engineer on the Location AI team working on MCP servers, agents and more. It’s been a lot of fun so far!

One piece of advice to my younger self after wrapping up 19 years at Microsoft is to always be interviewing. You never know in this market when your number is called, and best to be fully prepared for what comes next. If nothing else you’ve made great connections and seen what’s out there.
I am really touched by the outpouring of love for Mari after her passing. She is my angel now and I miss her dearly but she is finally home. The flowers, cards and more have shown how much Mari touched the lives of others.

After 19 years at Microsoft, this week I say goodbye to the place I called home for those many years. I cherish all the memories and all the friends and colleagues along the way but it’s time for a new adventure elsewhere when I’m ready. Thanks to everyone who went along on the journey with me!
Heartbroken today as Mari crossed the rainbow bridge today. She fought bravely against cancer and a bit chunk of me feels missing today. She was the best friend and companion I could have ever asked for.

It’s been a tough year for Mari with her cancer but we have made it to her birthday! Some days are better than others and I can sincerely say Fuck Cancer! Here’s hoping to more days ahead with fingers crossed!
