The Lie of βAll Lives Matterβ

That was an intense time, like one we find ourselves in now, and I am thankful for this experience and memory of a random dead bird.
Just came across this story from the middle of the pandemic lockdown, months after our personal family life was turned upside-down, and in the heat of the summer and uprising/national protests for Black lives.

I know times are shitty and tough when Iβm about to open a fortune cookie and I have that feeling like everythingβs riding on the message inside.
Auntie Lindsay got Teige the full Elphaba getup for xmas. We had to give her a makeover and do a photoshoot. π€π
Thank you! Much appreciated.
Can anyone recommend a good book on participatory democracy? π
This is so important for people to know. I have this friend who also has ADHD and itβs perfect because we both brag about how we can have zero contact for years and then are back at the regular vibe when we are together. Itβs perfect.
I feel like Cynthiaβs lithe limb riff is now the standard. I wonder if the Broadway Elphabas will use it.
The attack on trans rights in U.S. v. Skrmetti is a Trojan horse. If successful, it weakens sex discrimination protections for everyone. Trans youth are the first targets and have already been impacted all over the country by these attacks. But this case endangers us all.
#USvsSkrmetti isnβt just about trans youthβitβs about whether anyone facing sex-based discrimination will remain protected. If the Court narrows these rights, it puts millions at risk, from Title IX to workplace protections.
Itβs important folks understand the Supreme Courtβs decision in #USvsSkrmetti could gut sex discrimination protections for everyone. It targets trans youth now, but it threatens decades of progress on equality under the law for women, LGBTQ+ people, and more.
It makes me uncomfortable.
Why is Drew Barrymore on top of every person she interviews?
I agree.

I found him on here before I found you, but knew it wasnβt you. π€£
Cynthia Erivo really delivered some of the most powerful cinematic moments Iβve seen in a while. The Ozdust Ballroom scene and the Defying Gravity finale were so deeply moving.
Wicked was great. There were def tears in that final bit.
Teige, completely out of the blue, βDaddy, how do you start the Worldβs biggest rubber-band ball?β
Me, βWith one rubber-band.β
I feel like thereβs a metaphor in there.
