IMO a tragedy of AI’s trajectory (amongst other complicated feelings I have) is that it theoretically has the potential to be powerful as a tool for play, but the reality is contrary

My heart is so full tonight at this concert. Amazing music, and especially a joy to get to chat with the group. Haven’t smiled like this in ages, I so needed that. πŸ™‚

we have 6 different clouds all collaborating:
- Dynamic mask clouds based on "cloud cover" parameter
- High up stylized cirrus clouds to create direction\interest
- Far static horizon cumulonimbus, to create a "back plane"
- 2x static midground clouds for parralax
-"bounce plane" clouds

Oh hey I was wondering about the viability of this. Want to look into implementing this under @vite.dev Vitepress (for the @frameshifter.org site and eventually my own once I finally get around to migrating off VuePress and implementing the blog stuff I’ve learned from building that)

AI as Friction Indicator If stakeholders use AI to "translate" your organization, you've lost the narrative. Learn why shadow AI is a friction signalβ€”and how boards can reclaim the mission.

Corollary to an argument I've been making recently: If you're applying AI to solve something for you, maybe what you actually have is a UX problem.

Yeah I think Python can do this, I think for any class? Regardless it is indeed handy

15.02.2026 03:43 πŸ‘ 1 πŸ” 0 πŸ’¬ 0 πŸ“Œ 0

Or is it just, that’s not actual operator overloading, and you can’t do that as an operator overload because indexing is generally not an operator

15.02.2026 03:38 πŸ‘ 1 πŸ” 0 πŸ’¬ 1 πŸ“Œ 0

I guess I can’t see why that couldn’t be done in an operator overload. At least you could do that with Python’s __getitem__

15.02.2026 03:37 πŸ‘ 0 πŸ” 0 πŸ’¬ 1 πŸ“Œ 0

Why metatables vs operator overloading or… whatever python calls those double-underscore prefixed+suffixed methods that do something similar? (Not super familiar with Lua)

This is the direction I’m hoping to go after in the scientific software and participatory science space - there’s a similar problem in academic ecosystems in particular as grad students/postdocs move on, etc. Don’t know if it’d be helpful, but open to chatting about that if it is.

I’d be interested to see if in higher dimensions I’d be in closer proximity to other clusters. It’s not super surprising that I’m put in a software-focused cluster, but I could imagine being in a few other areas
