How many voting-age Americans didn’t vote, though? What’s the % on that, voters vs non-voters who could, but didn’t? It’s not an insignificant quantity.

Wild idea: Humanize the economy. Shift from a pseudo-gold standard for the definition of the dollar's value, to one defined by the citizen population's cost of living in the US. Base it on human existence rather than working output.

Look at the totals for voting vs total vote-capable population. Look at the % of active vs inactive votes, and the % of Rep vs Dem voters, and tell me what that means for you.

More like a third, or less. Voting here is too noncompulsory, so we don't actually see half of the whole pop in voting numbers, just half of the half or so who DO vote. We are being ruled by a loud minority because too many folks are complacently ignoring what's happening outside their front doors.

Or it might all be part of the same societal rot.

Remember when John Oliver was doing timed, targeted PSAs on Fox News to try and stealth-educate Trump on political vitals? Has anybody tried doing an AI hot chick doing a political explainer that deconstructs major conservative talking points, teaching empathy? And then float it past Trump on Truth?

Again, generalized standards, not specific people, just offering and setting parameters for handling of these situations. How you define an ally who should stand with you vs an enemy to beware but see the uses for.

Depends on the circumstances. An ally who shoots you in the back only 5% of the time, is still shooting you in the back eventually, and isn't actually an ally but a useful enemy. Still not ideal.

All comments are just my own philosophy, I hope it's rationally explained enough to work for others.

An imperfect ally is better than no allies, perfect or otherwise, at all. A dozen imperfect allies, a couple of which defect while the others stay true, is still better than none, and we get better at telling the fakes from the truly good-hearted seeking redemption. So it goes.

It can be both of those things, when the media attention is being used to drive attention to the change he's trying to promote.

Not everyone is purely driven by self-aggrandizement, and too many people are so petty that they don't ever think otherwise and default to thinking everyone is as venal.

Accepting a pardon usually includes an admission of guilt, no?

Okay, but "people don't know enough" doesn't actually inform them of those ramifications, it just makes them look and feel worse.

Maybe they don't, or maybe they do, and getting this regime out of power is more important, to enact that effect.

Heck, EVERY action one takes has a whole host of ramifications and consequences we don't grapple with enough, on a daily basis. There's too much going on to always be doing so.

The president is a child who was never told no, and swindled and bribed his way through every conflict in his life and thinks he is winning and righteous in life to have done so. He consumes and destroys, but thinks he is creating and restoring.

Some people are corrupt and immoral, doing what they want to sate their own needs and desires over the wellbeing of others. Their worldview is fundamentally different from ours in a way that is contradictory to the common peace and a productive and healthy social and economic system.

Some people in this administration think they are doing the right thing for everyone, but are misguided on the best course of action because their perspective is limited, and their local biases of data contradict the larger national system and its nuances and differing regional needs.

It's a block from KCAD, the art school. I went there, graduated back in 2010, they held our graduation ceremony in that church. Wild to see that 15 years later.
