Brilliant day for an impromptu solo walk/slog up Mt Herbert - the highest point on Banks Peninsula at 919m (about the same as Arthur's Pass). Bus from town then a quick ferry trip to Diamond Harbour and lots of people had the same idea. So accessible by cheap public transport!

The Government is currently negotiating an Enhanced Border Security Partnership with the US Department of Homeland Security that would grant US agencies, including ICE, automated, direct access to New Zealanders' biometric data and identity records.

It sat on various Ministers for Transport's desks and was never actually approved 🤷‍♀️ Used to be a broader range of measures, but this is a good start... if cabinet lets the Minister go ahead...

It currently only applies to wheel size and most children will have grown out of that size years before they turn 12.

I asked CCC staff fir the stats last year and in Ōtautahi developers are still adding an average of just a smidge under 1 carpark per property/home since the minimums were removed. Previously, it was just a smidge over 1.

In central Ōtautahi developments there's a distinct price difference between those with and without carparks in the same developments and with same size etc. In many, its the no-park ones that sell first. I live in one atm.
