Still slow to spending more time here, but leaning away from Facebook. Maybe it’s just time to drop some memes.

Not yet. We spent the month of January in the Westport area in Co. Mayo. I can’t tell you how much I love it there. And we made our way through Storm Eowyn, which also gave us some insights into the people of the area. Now making plans for our next visit and to see if I can move my business there.

I have very mixed feelings. I have been an activist and involved in so many things for the last few decades, and I’m tired. I have been screaming about fascism since Reagan, and I’m tired. I’m just not sure if this country can fix itself, or even wants to.

We head south to Ennis tomorrow for a couple of days, then fly out of Shannon Wednesday. We are still processing and sifting through the past month, but we’re both anxious to be back here as soon as possible. And the trepidation of returning to a fascist United States is not appealing in any way.

I gave Therese your regards. She was delighted. What a sweet woman. We loved our time there and wish we’d been sooner. Spent the time writing postcards.

We will be spending the month of January on Clew Bay near Westport in Co. Mayo. On our list is our first visit to Donegal. We very much look forward to seeing in-person some of the beauty we’ve seen in photos. We are working on moving to Ireland from Vermont, US.

My mom lived 50 years after her thyroid cancer. Cheers to you and here’s hoping you go as long as you want.
