I really wanted to go to the show in london, but of the 7 friends who said they wanted to, they all backed out when they saw ticket prices. (I am actually more interested in PUP though)
The expanded stuff is mostly just qol, items, inventory size, but 1 Dungeon is expanded and changed.
Alternatively if you like the HD-2D look, they're releasing that remake sometime in the near future if you want to wait.
Personally I like SFC>GBC>NES for 1+2. Not a huge difference, but they lessened the grind, expanded some stuff in 1, and overall I just prefer the snes look.
There is a "reduce frights" setting you can turn on. From what I've been told it makes it less intense than the anglerfish. Without the setting it's probably only slightly more intense, but it's a bigger focus, so you notice it more.
The only important WRs in all of speedrunning are displayed.
Somebody should really beat these times.
