“We have over two decades of experience delivering programmes to decarbonise public buildings and to improve homes across the UK.
We are well placed to bring our skills and expertise into the new agency to make a real impact to lowering families’ energy bills and improving quality of life."
Our chief executive, Kevin Holland, said:
“At Salix, we are excited by the potential of the new Warm Homes Agency. We look forward to helping ministers realise their ambitions for the Warm Homes Plan."
It will play a vital role in improving awareness and engagement, supporting consumers on the journey to make their homes more energy efficient and cheaper to run.
The agency will be formed by bringing our expert teams together with parts of Ofgem and the Department for Energy Security and Net Zero.
The government's Warm Homes Plan is here. 🎉
It highlights the intent to establish a Warm Homes Agency which will be a new and dedicated public body to support delivery of the plan.
The aim of the new agency is to simplify consumer experience whilst providing a trusted source of advice and support.
“Our residents are getting great value for money and they’re reducing their energy bills. The most important thing is that it’s saved her money on her electricity bills, which is great.”

Bronwen’s creative ethos is deeply personal and grounded in care for the planet.
From her studio on the coast and opposite an oil refinery - a daily reminder of our dependency on fossil fuels, she’s using art to question value, empower women, and reimagine waste.
Bronwen was a wonderful guest and hugely inspirational. After studying at Goldsmiths and Camberwell College of Arts, Bronwen returned to her Welsh roots to build a thriving practice making wearable art jewellery from waste plastic collected on local beaches.
We’re celebrating creativity for climate action 🌊
As we mark Wales Climate Action Week, we’re proud to share the story of Bronwen Gwillim, a Pembrokeshire-based artist and maker whose work transforms waste into beauty.

“Although not what we’d originally planned, we knew that any measure would provide a great benefit to our residents.
“We believe this experience has been both a learning experience and a success, showcasing our dedication to do the best we can for our residents, even when challenges are faced.”
The required ecological surveys to investigate concerns would incur more than £ 10,000 of unexpected expenses on top of the projected upgrade costs.
To avoid the inflated costs, the planned measures for the properties were amended to remove the external wall insulation & install solar PV instead.
Soha Housing shares its experience navigating costly ecological surveys due to the risk of roosting bats 🦇

Veronica puts the environment at the centre of her pioneering art project in King’s Lynn.
In our podcast, she explains that while the artists she showcases at GroundWork don’t have to be environmentalists, she ensures that climate change is never far from the discussion.
Fascinating to talk to gallery founder, curator and writer Veronica Sekules about her vision for GroundWork Gallery in episode 14 of our #podcast The Decarbonisation Dialogue.
