Hey, that new KMFDM album's pretty dang good.

Depends on what your going for but my go to is to make 'em kind, but not nice. Like they'll do the right thing, help out, take care of people, but they're kinda belligerent, blunt and rough about it!

It's such a good rabbit hole to fall into, if you're not familiar, a lot of early Delerium stuff is also really worth diving into, especially the albums Syrophenikan and Stone Tower!

Sometimes you work on a project and it just completely fails. For instance, I painted a full regiment of Empire soldiers for Warhammer Fantasy Battles, only to realize after messing up a couple that I really just want to make more skirmish warbands for Mordheim.

Its a series that manages, at times, startling looks into the human condition, and true, honest moments of emotion in all their complex, messy, and at times illogical states. There's cool robots, sure, but it's focus on people is what's gotten me to love it more and more as I keep watching. 7/7

It's used mostly as a moment to force Bernie to reflect on his own actions, and ultimately make the fatal choice to return and try to complete his mission, but that soul-shattering humanity is one little moment among many that makes me love Gundam so much. 6/7

But then, while denying her own drunkenness, the veneer cracks, and the emotions come trickling out. There's still anger, but the fear, the sorrow, the pain at how her life has been upended, ruined even, all delivered with this heartbreaking, sobbing honesty by actor Dyanne DiRosario. 5/?

And then something terribly, horribly, honestly human happens. As he listens, this woman starts off righteous, indignant, angry, even referencing an infidelity as she spits "I really hope that you enjoy your life with her" as she talks about moving to a new colony and leaving his life forever 4/?

And yet, that's not the part I want to focus on. Because while Bernie is at the spaceport awaiting his ride out of the problem, there's this woman at the bar he's sitting at, drunk, a bit belligerent, she stumbles her way towards a payphone and calls her ex, and Bernie can't help but overhear. 3/?

Oh and also some spoilers. It's towards the end of the fifth episode. Everything has gone wrong, Cyclops team is dead, Zeon is planning to nuke the colony, and Bernie, one of our leads, is fleeing because he thinks there's nothing to do, abandoning not just hope, but a child he's bonded with. 2/?

Been watching (and rewatching) a lot of Gundam the past few years as I've gotten several folks into the franchise, and while I can gush about a lot of moments, I want to take a sec to highlight a part of Gundam 0080 that has stuck with me and sums up my love of the franchise so much.
