The prices are high enough, they’re just not high enough for US drug company (Moderna) greed.
Which isn’t really a surprise coming from Moderna if Cambridge Massachusetts.
So you seem to accept Moderna as a spokesperson for non-US drug companies, which seems strange to me.
This trope that it’s just US companies developing drugs is just a pharma talking point they use in front of Congress so that they can keep charging Americans way more than reasonable.
That is a very ignorant thing to claim. There is a lot of drug development and research happening in Europe already.
What this will mean instead is that the US is going to become irrelevant to medicine in the future. That’s all.
