Absolutely wild to need an AI to change a "0.0" to "1.0"
Absolutely wild to need an AI to change a "0.0" to "1.0"
This is really cool!
Will you be using triplanar materials in the end?
The skewed UV info might be the only problem I can think of.
I don't use Unreal, so I'm unfamiliar with the tools they have for UV data generation, but that might be an easyish fix
I was trying this out and noticed that the context menu takes longer to open every time. Mine now takes upwards of 3 seconds to finish opening ๐
Glass UI. It's not just distortion though there's also a bit of chromatic shift, grain and rim light.

Tom's Hardware article title talking about how scientists can now use dead mosquito noses for extremely fine 3D printing
A human hand giving the "I got your nose" gesture
I did the same thing for similar reasons, and there absolutely are ways to do this!
Having an artist's perspective is extremely important for making useful art tools. The tricky part is maintaining that perspective while also trying to solve the technical and design challenges as a dev.
lol, I forget how awful twitter was sometimes
why are they upset? this is perfectly appropriate
There's something kinda magical about single page applications imo.
I think we should throw out the rule book and go back to Flash-like websites.
If you don't care about SEO, performance, load-times, and probably a bunch of other things, you COULD just use Godot to make an entire website
This is the same kind "wrong tool for the job" that made me fall in love with JavaScript
My interactive tween guide for Godot is out !
If you have trouble using tweens, adding "Juice" or picking the right transition, it should hopefully help!
The guide is free and will always be ๐ฉต

A screenshot of Affinity's statement about not using user data to train their AI tools
I think I should amend this;
the Affinity team might actually have something good here.
I'm not loving the AI angle, but they are quite clear they don't intend to train using their user's data. But Adobe just lies about not training with user data, so I wouldn't be too shocked if Affinity also does.
Thanks! I'll check that out, I very much trust Freya's 3D takes
Would you mind elaborating?
I've never heard this take before and now I'm wondering what arcane game dev runes I'm missing out on
the fact it's uncommon makes me more inclined to design with it
Thanks, I'll be eagerly waiting at my mailbox the entire time!
it's very confusing.
The internet show is called "The King of Town" I think
The character's name is "Eh! Steve!"
oop, my bad!
maybe you could try doing Homestarrunner for the hit internet show "Homestarrunner"
Freddie Wong from the hit Youtube channel "Freddie Wong"
my bad, you're right. I had the wrong idea of how common it was.
I just found this resource to confirm
www.doesitplay.org
This site only has 11 entries for Switch 2 and none of them appear to be GKC
It sounds like this isn't always the case.
Since the PS4 and Xbox One, it's more common for game disks to only include part of the game's data, such that you need to download the rest for it to be playable, Effectively doing the same thing as GKC. imo this is a bad practice that's become normalized
downloaders or Installers?
If I understand correctly, I don't think the issue is that you have to install the game, it's that the card isn't physical access to the game data.
I didn't know non-data disks was already common for consoles, but imo that defeats the entire purpose of physical media
btw conventional games marketing wisdom says block game will never get a lick of press because i'm developing it out in the open and anything that's public knowledge is not news so that means for it to go anywhere it has to have strong word of mouth
so uh, tell your friends? enikofox.com/blockgame
Screenshot of text: unfuck google drive by shooting gemini Hey folks! Google is fucking you via sneaky enshittification again! Want the shit in your google drive to load instantly again, instead of taking for-fucking-ever? Open your gdrive (web OR app) Settings > Manage Apps Gemini was checked "use as default" (and i sure the fuck didn't set it that way, this was a silent push) Nuke that, and suddenly, folders that took up to a minute to populate and sort do so in a fraction of a second.
friend shared this, immediately updated my settings
Making a block game taught me more than every other dev project combined
haha oh man, I'm going to kick every tombstone now
It's that time of year... ๐
๐ The Ghost Town Pumpkin Festival is BACK for 2025! ๐
This year we can support up to 800 players at once in this seasonal pumpkin carving MMO!
This year's update comes with new areas and new secrets to find.
Hope you don't mind if I re-use the trailer from last year! ๐
Layers Deep just surpassed 30K active Wishlist's on Steam! That's a whole lotta onions!
Hell yeah! I'm excited to watch this project
