Imagine if the resources being directed generating slop were used for:
- Early detection of diseases
- Optimizing crop yields in developing countries
- Predict energy demand to get the most out of clean energy sources.

Building new data centers chasing diminishing returns isn't the way forward.

I hate the term "AI" because it captures a broad set of technologies.

Other kinds of machine learning tech have been around for decades.

We're at a crossroads where we can develop this tech in a way to genuinely improve people's lives rather than enabling industrial scale content theft.

It's hard to get excited about any new pokemon game. They've stopped becoming challenging and exciting and hold your hand way too much.

I'll always cherish the older games but the series has declined since it's hayday. Perhaps I'm just nostalgic haha.

Small cons are much more fun than large ones. The chill vibes without the fomo or worrying about missing someone is really really nice.

It's a nice change of pace compared to the mini large cons I've been to over the years.

Their icons are buttholes because the only thing that comes out of them is shit.
