He was a subtle gem the province needed and relied on for years without fully appreciating his impact. He would have loved Paikin's piece, though I'd not be surprised if he had a sneak peak before passing. Rest in peace Jim, you impacted many lives & we will forever be grateful for it.

This is Courtney. Sheβs about to graduate with her PhD in neuroscience from the University of Colorado. She made this sign in 2017 for the first science march and has had it in her lab ever since.

I was there today before catching a flight back home to Canada and I am so proud of all of you for standing up for science! There were so many incredible signs and the music was great too!
Canada is that boxer that punches above its weight class.
We don't brag about our achievements and what we can bring.
We don't say we're the best, pound our chest, and talk smack.
But put us in the ring, well, we do David vs Goliath things.
