I totally get it. I don't get the appeal myself either. I know a lot of people use ai for pre-vis or placeholders in game dev, but people used to do that work. When I first started VO "scratch track" vo work was actually a pretty decent way to make regular income. Sad.

I mean honestly? It totally can outdo most singers at least technically. It just does stuff that's stupidly complicated and high and screechy as if that's the only metric for "good singing" is how high you can go. lol

Producer: For this audition we need a singer to replace this AI singer. We understand if you can't sing it as well, it has a note that's higher than the A5 in Golden from KPDH but get as close as you can.

Devs already have to crunch or start over at the whim of CEOs & leadership, if the answer to that is to just "work faster" and make games faster, that's how you get inhumane dev conditions, unfinished buggy games rushed to market, & tons of soulless A*I in your games.

I guess I don't see the problem with this? People aren't supposed to blindly support & play an IP forever like it's some lifelong religion. They're supposed to play other games & IPs, be allowed to grow up and out of things. We don't need more lifelong single IPs, just look at the MCU.
