We worked up and down the biological complexity scale combining live ex vivo tissue imaging, single cell techniques, and a reductionist co-culture system to explore how sparse but mighty gamma-delta T cells influence tumour macrophages in a model of lung cancer.

Vγ1 γδ T cells steer airway macrophages toward a profibrotic response in an autochthonous lung cancer mouse model In lung cancer, airway macrophages are modulated by an unconventional T cell subset, relevant to care for pulmonary comorbidities.
