I re-read The Hail Mary Project recently (Andy Weir), I blasted through it *so fast* cos it’s very well paced and very engaging 😊
(It’s about to be released as a film; I remember his previous book, The Martian, was a good film but I a was so happy I’d read the superb book before!)

I’m actively trying to drop/not start projects at the moment (first baby is due to arrive in ~6 weeks 😳) but I’ve been wanting this tool for ages, and want to dream of a future where I have headspace to contribute 😄

Yeah; many are interoperable, but it’s not easy yet for sure. There’s a steady trickle away from X to Bluesky, but no such luck with Insta, I think it’s still growing!

I didn’t know buffer supports insta! I’ll see if I can convince a friend to post via there; but it’d still need the personal data/buckets *and * support on sprk.so to really land.
The next challenge is convincing local businesses…

They won’t move because:
- friends are on insta + no bridges
- lots of great discovery for local things on insta (sprk.so is still 80% US politics for me, nothing from Hackney, London, UK)
- no cross posting tools (eg. one app to loops.video, sprk.so & insta)
- no private account on atproto (yet 🤞)
I’ve been hunting for a way to see my friends’ insta posts outside that network — I just don’t think it’s possible (private accounts 😔).
I’ve already deleted my own account, so I’m happy revelling in my reduced Meta exposure, but I’m on my own for now.
I’d take any tips if you have them!
