Silicon Valley Tech Workers Are Campaigning to Get ICE Out of US Cities: A growing movement of over 1,000 Silicon Valley tech employees, organized under ICEout.tech, is urging company executives to publicly condemn Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) and sever t⦠https://ranked.news/149441?u=b
And folks are also working to build solidarity across the industry. The ICEOut.tech pledge (disclosure: I was an early signer and know the folks organizing) is up to 2000 signatures, many who have made their names public, and many who have prestigious roles at well-known companies.
Worker activism in tech is back. It's starting with opposition to ICE, but I think it will spill over into other areas.
This thread will share what's happened recently and what I think might be next. As well as ways for folks to get involved if they want to.

in October, they persuaded Trump to call off a planned ICE surge in San Francisco, and big tech CEOs are in the White House tonight. Now they need to go further, and join us in demanding ICE out of all of our cities. iceout.tech
Their goal is terror, cruelty, and suppression of dissent. This must end.. Tech professionals are speaking up against this brutality, and we call on all our colleagues who share our values to use their voice. We know our industry leaders have leverage:
