Tory Councillor at my doorstep: “Hi there, would you consider voting for me in the upcoming election?”

Me: “I don’t like Tories.”

Tory Councillor: “Well I used to be in Labour.”

Me: “I don’t like Labour either…”

You will indeed. I just can’t bear Twitter anymore—too many abhorrent views being treated like legitimate political opinions. It honestly makes me sick to my stomach. ❤️

I don’t know why I’ve persisted with Twitter so long. It’s so depressing feeling like the odd one out on a platform that was overwhelmingly left wing not long ago. I don’t think it’s ever going to go back to what it was and I think I’ve made peace with that now.

I just watched Extrapolations on Apple TV - I'm surprised by how little credit critics gave it. I think it is such an important show to watch with regards to the ramifications of climate change on the world. Beautifully created and really hits home. Highly recommend it to all.

My partner is the same, he falls asleep to non-fiction YouTube videos. I use my ambient nature soundscape/dreamscape playlist as "sleep prep" - it puts me in that twilight zone because of the musical minimalism, helps me get sleepy when I feel too wired :)
