Yeah was in response to me saying I didn't want to leave my job because people aren't exactly lining up to hire trans people. I just didn't know what to say. Just sort of smiled and moved on.
Other night in a restaurant a friend's wife was asking me "do you think there's still a stigma?" around being trans. I didn't bother to mention the couple behind her had been staring open mouthed at me the whole walk back from the bathroom and whispering to each other. Just smiled politely. Tired.
I know that feeling. I get right up to that wall sometimes but the damn just won't burst and you're just sort of left with it all β₯οΈ
