I believe there is a middle ground and it's completely project dependent - while smaller projects with fixed scopes can easily have fixed prices, larger ones have so many moving parts and changing requirements that they almost always require hourly billing.

You could also argue that hourly billing leads to working slowly on purpose and that fixed prices oriented on value works best for both parties 😉

While we don't use a chatbot for direct customer support, our help desk provider was also down – so customers could pay, didn't get an email or their products and also weren't able to contact anyone about it 🙈

I built one with Marcel like 6-7 years ago as one that can be branded by companies and where their customers can create friend groups and have high scores and what not. Didn't see the light of the day because we never landed a bigger brand using it 😅

People forget that it's not about the work but the possibilities that it creates. While I deeply care about the quality of our software and love that it is used by so many developers, I ultimately do it because I just want to be independent and do whatever I want all day, every day.

Yes! Absolute hate magic links with no password option

I like it so much if there is only a magic login link and no way to set a password from the password manager.

This makes you realize how many one megapixel is and how bad humans are at picturing numbers.
