Muons receive funding from the Swiss National Science Foundation PSI gets an NCCR: The Muoniverse project will further expand research on the beamlines for elementary particles called muons – at the world’s leading facility for muon beams.

Research with muons at PSI is being further strengthened: President Parmelin has approved funding for the NCCR Muoniverse. The improvements will benefit research into quantum materials and superconductors, aid industrial applications, and even provide insights into art history and archaeology.
