Check in with your pals, offer them space in your homes and families
We'd urge people not to panic - there will be lots of commentary coming out quickly that is likely to deliberately overstate the impact that this decision is going to have on all trans people's lives. We'll say more as soon as we're able to. Please look out for yourselves and each other today ππ³οΈββ§οΈ
The geography here is predictable (though it is interesting that for areas north of the Severn-Wash line, you only move to net positives in areas with a tram service), but for the overall national figure, a net -2% satisfaction rating with local public transport seemsβ¦quite high actually?
Snap
At least one ECML operator still provides York to Glasgow, or at least I think XC still do
Imagine there being another Hugo π±
And then onwards from Glossop on the 341 operated by Stotts of Oldham, who will cease to run service buses with the Bee Network. Alighting that at Broadbottom found us a West Mids Train livery 323

And now we have made it into Derbyshire on our Greater Manchester System One tickets.
Being able to travel cross boundary on a multi operator ticket is not too uncommon but the next journey is entirely within Derbyshire and still valid on this ticket
Today wanderings are on System One in the bits of Derbyshire that it views as Greater Manchester
And tonight's ultimate destination
Confusingly the Bee Network website suggests that it calls on the "side of the road towards Manchester City Centre". There is a frequent bus service through here to Manchester... It stops on the opposite side of the road when going in that direction.
Could do with a little clarification...
Meanwhile, I've made it to the bus stop for the Manchester City Matchday Bus Route 9
Urmston benefits from off peak calls in the TPE services between Liverpool and Cleethorpes, to make up for the current lack of off peak Manchester Oxford Road to Warrington Central stopping services - due to ongoing challenges on the Castlefield Corridor.
Probably boosts demand a fair bit
A rather damp Urmston this evening
After an intermediate call at the poorly served Trafford Park station where very few got off, it was noticeable that a large number got off here on a busy peak time service.
I'll be hopping off at Urmston for something of a rare bus
This evenings wanderings really begin under the arches at Manchester Oxford Road. I'm headed out on 2O80 - 16:46 Manchester Oxford Road out towards Liverpool Lime Street, on the CLC via Warrington Central.
A rare opportunity for me to board a train at the buffer ends of Platform 5 at Oxford Road
Yeh that's quite interesting... Do you know what services it works onto from those?
Well that's a rabbit hole and a half... I do love a dead run in service type bus service
Ah so the X39 is the spiritual successor to the old Lothian 109 - a staff bus in service from Deans to Longstone Garage in the middle of the night - that died in... I want to say March 2018. Someone might correct me on that.
Selected for "extended highlights"
Not sure how that works with a 0-0 in normal time but...
How Burton vs Tamworth wasn't televised... It's frankly scandalous
A local derby not played competitively for 17 years
And it should've gone to a replay as well... The amount of lost revenue for a non league club... What's happened to the #FACup
People can look forward to at least @daxon.insanity.tube @minionjosh.me and @brdly.io putting silly stamps on things π
I seem to have started a trend of people buying silly stamps from Philatelink...
Well, I didn't start it, I was first tempted by @ignoredambience.bsky.social
Seems contagious
