This proposal by Idaho Governor Brad Little is unacceptable.

HCBS are already insufficiently funded. Cutting these services further would be “apocalyptic” for disabled people and the families who depend on them.

A care system that supports Black women and caregivers will benefit all of us.

As we wrap up #BlackHistoryMonth, we’re reflecting on the need for investments in family care, paid leave, and policies to support the Black women and caregivers who are at the heart of our economy.

Disabled people continue to face challenges from extreme weather long after conditions improve for everyone else. It’s inequitable and dangerous. Cities can do better when it comes to accessibility. https://www.motherjones.com/politics/2026/02/winter-storm-snow-mobility-wheelchair-infrastructure/
