i think there's a huge difference between making webtoons and making webcomics, and i'm definitely making a webcomic and posting it on webtoon, and that's one of the reasons it's "underated". if i had the energy and interest in making it into scroll format i think it'd do better numbers but im not..

and to me thats a lot, but the top tier was more than a million pageviews per month, which was never even close to being within reach for my comic. but webtoon is a different world...

IWOH was part of an experimental program where you'd get paid depending on how many readers you'd have on a monthly basis, but the numbers were insane. you'd get 200 dollars in you made it to 50k pageviews, and 600 dollars in you made it to 100k i believe. I made it to 100K twice in a year

but i guess if you're doing your comic for a living and you're trying to make money off of webtoon it makes sense? to me webcomics have always been about passion, not money, which i think is also because i grew up reading webcomics the way i did.

i went to high school in a town with 6000 people in it, the idea that that townx10 would be subscribed to my comic is insane to me. but i've seen people wanting to give up on their comics because it "only" had 100k subscribers, and that is what i usually refer to as The Webtoon Brainrot

i do think it's crazy to have more than 50k subscribers and be labeled as "underated" because i grew up on individual webcomic websites and smackjeeves, and my first webcomic had like 250 readers on SJ... but in webtoon numbers it is very true that it's not a lot i suppose!

i relatively regularly get "this comic is so underrated" comments on webtoon but this one is my favorite because it kind of reads like "is this underated or is it actually bad and i just don't get it" and i love that 😭😂

insane chain of events: getting to work and realizing i forgot my lunch, walking to a store i don't normally go to, to buy glutenfree bread, realizing at the register that i forgot my wallet, about to grab my things and put them back as a friend goes "hi!", me being like "omg can you pay for me"

maybe if i get a tattoo of a wolf on my messed up shoulder, that will fix it because wolves are cool and strong and awesome. just a thought 🤔

Unfortunately I’m still having arm issues, so drawing is mostly limited to work hours, which is why you don’t really see anything from me these days.. hopefully things will improve soon since I’m seeing a physiotherapist but oh well, we must rest when we must, so no art for now
