Urban trees can absorb more CO₂ than cars emit during summer
Researchers have shown that, on average, around two percent of urban emissions in Munich are offset by vegetation.
A high-resolution CO₂ model shows urban vegetation offsets about 2% of annual #emissions. Jia Chen, professor of #EnvironmentalSensing and modeling, & team find that #UrbanTrees can at times absorb more CO₂ than #CityTraffic emits in summer: go.tum.de/345673

Living material makes harmful UV-light visible

Established cancer drug reactivates immunotherapy
Researchers have discovered a mechanism that renders cell therapies ineffective against multiple myeloma. They were able to stop it with a cancer drug.
