Just a small particle toy I made a few years ago.
Playing with sine and cosine feels really relaxing.

It might have taken almost a decade and some incredibly heavy discounts, but I noticed I missed The Signal From TΓΆlva passing 100k units sold some time last year.
A milestone, of sorts, for a forgotten game (which I am as proud of as anything I have ever made.) Thanks to all who worked on it!
It is seriously disturbing to me that increasingly everyone feels the need to become a "content creator" and needs to share every part of their lives to support their existence on a few extra advertisement $.
Starting to have a nice little tool here π!
It now supports inverting what's inside/outside (see end of the video) to make plateaux or canyons. And also changing the height and the side wall shape and depth!

in two closures I wrote a generic function in geometry nodes for putting stones or bricks on any surface. The brick one is specially complicated, to keep the clean grid look, first I unpack/ unwrap the faces and reorient them so they are world aligned and point up, distribute 1/3
I love how devs are blamed for making original games ("Didn't do market research and made something in a popular genre - dUMB!") while also slamming them for the opposite ("Another hero shooter!?!? Doomed to fail, no one wants another one of those!"). Lovely /s.
Forgot I made this once upon a time. Take a look if you love color palettes jerryverhoeven.com/kavel/colorp...
Sir Ian McKellen performing a monologue from Shakespeareβs Sir Thomas More on the Stephen Colbert show. Never have I heard this monologue performed with such a keen sense of prescience. Nor have I ever been in this exact historical moment.TY Sir Ian, for reaching us once again.

The world is a mess but I just had some incredible coffee
a dreary sky, a lonely grey concrete tower in the center. there are chambers on the base that a person can enter with stairs leading up to them
a brutalist concrete lobby, with nice carpet, furniture, and plants hanging from suspended planters. the lighting is warm and welcoming
a cavernous gallery room, with a high ceiling and artificial sun panels pouring warm diffused light into the room. there is a statue of a floating octahedron in the center. plants and vines hang down from the walls. the room branches off into other chambers.
view of a tall, oddly shaped hallway. carpet down the whole length. on the left there is seating, a cabinet, and a large painting of some abstract rock formation.
screenshots of the startmap I built for qbj3 or Quake Brutalist Jam III
some fancy bits in here will be in the coming update, like the paintings and plaques

QBJ3 has a wild start map. Such intricate details and some lovely functional additions to Quake such as blanking out teleporters for maps you've played (useful when there are 70+ maps!) and each teleporter giving you a rough playtime estimate and difficulty rating.
Also, disabled access!
Oh, ok. I had a hard time parsing the texture from the photo. Especially next to the other cuts. It certainly looks intriguing with the whipped broth and good chicken ramen is hard to come by.
I feel like raw chicken is a bridge too far for many. I'd personally skip this bowl but it's interesting to see the breadth of ramen culture.
Someone bought my game Kavel on website Itch.io and left a tip of $2.51 to compensate for the game being discounted 50% - essentially paying full price.

Tags you've applied to this product: Arcade Puzzle
Let's start a campaign to add the tag "Arcade Puzzle" to games like Tetris, Lumines, Puyo Puyo, Petal Crash, etc on Steam. These games get lumped in with great but completely different genres of puzzle games like Portal and sadly sidelined. Steam users have the power to carve out this niche!
Tetris (all of 'em) Puyo Puyo (all of 'em) Lumines (all of 'em) Petal Crash (both of 'em) Mixolumia TETRACHROMA Hot Wax Super Crane Bug CROSSNIQ+ Spirit Swap Ekstase Otteretto UFOTOFU:HEX Kavel Flipon UFO: Unidentified Falling Objects
In no particular order, here are some games you could give the "Arcade Puzzle" tag to on Steam

Nobody cares but I did it again after failing in 2024.
Making games is tough as fuck.
If you want more wishlists, you need to do a better job at marketing the project. Reach more people and convert them better (easier said than done). Wishlists alone are an empty metric.
Hot take. A lot of game art is beautiful and stylish but wasn't meant to be a game.
