I cranked through all the episodes last night. Couldn't put it down. And agree that we need more each year π
The scene with them all talking about the different Apeldoorn lineups was freaking gold.
I tried to get back into it in 2024, but tweaked my knee and never fully recovered. A few months of strength training has helped a ton though. It's almost back to normal.
I also did almost two month of walking before I got back to running. Been taking it slow to get the knee back into shape.
Consistency has been key. It's not always perfect, but showing up regularly is what matters. Now to stay locked in for the long haul!
How are y'all taking care of your physical health these days?
Also, happy to answer any questions about my journey.
3/3
It's amazing the difference 3 months can make:
- I can run 5ks again. Hit 29:00 last week. Was totally sedentary before.
- At my healthiest weight since I was 25. I'm 37 now.
- I'm the strongest I think I've ever been.
- I _feel_ so much better.
- I can play with my kids much easier.

Three months ago, I got some not so great test results from the doctor. Nothing major, but trending poorly. Made me rethink my physical health. I changed up my nutrition entirely, improved my sleep hygiene, and added consistent exercise β a mix of strength training, yoga, and cardio. 1/3
Ugh, now I want to get back into BEAM languages even though I have no practical reason to.
THANKS A LOT KYLE!!!
π€£
Anything targeting the BEAM is going to be fun!
Coincidentally, I wrote a conference talk based on it π€£
I got one for the first time in two decades a few years ago. So much nostalgia. It was awesome!
Hope it's a blast!
It is a travesty.
And I _do_ hate it. π
Please report back. I'm so engrained at this point I don't really want to switch but agree that their direction recently has been mostly fruitless.
This one blew my mind.
Sadly had to cancel today cause of sickness, but going to reschedule once I'm feeling better. Love hanging with @tdesseyn.bsky.social!!!

We've got some updates on TypeScript 7! The new native port
- can type-check any project
- supports --build and --incremental
- has rich editor features implemented
- is still 10x faster
and is ready for you to try today!

That's tight! Taking `bevel` up to `250px` (`100%` works too; tried it in devtools) is a nice effect. I know that could be done with a rotated background element right now, but using `corner-shape` feels much more ergonomic. And it keeps all the gradients in alignment.
Same energy as "our linter only emits warnings" π¬
Bummed I couldn't make it tonight! Hopefully next time!
Never heard the Genesis version as a kid (which is weird, cause I was raised on 80s music) so when I first showed my dad the Disturbed cover, he went "Oh, this is a Genesis song" and my mind was blown π
If y'all ain't in the triple digits, y'all got nothin' π€£
It's November 5th so obviously watching V for Vendetta.
This movie hits different in 2025...
Wow, this is huge news for the SWC ecosystem!
I _love_ how fast SWC is, but updating plugins has historically been a huge pain. Glad it's getting smoothed out.

What is this tool you speak of?
Been there too π
Been there!
It's so funny watching kids pretend to be doctors. This morning, my 3yo fixed my "sprained wrist" by 1. sprinkling water on it, 2. squeezing orange juice on it, 3. drying it with a frying pan (π€·ββοΈ), 4. using a hair clip to tweeze the sprain out, and 5. wrapping it in a sock to keep it clean. π
