I 100% get the feeling. I used to love making music and sound design for fun and after making that my career it just feels scary because it HAS to be good otherwise i feel like a fraud. Honestly though i just think it feels like we dont get better because we do it everyday, little by little

I do happen to have access to a 214 and an sm7b so will check how my voice sounds on those, thanks! im currently using an AT2021 for voice work which is starting to show its limitations (though it works surprisingly well for the price i paid if im being honest)

audio peeps: any microphone recommendations for voice over that wont destroy me financially forever as everything is 10x more expensive and hard to find in brazil?
been going back and forth on the AT4040/4050 and cant pull the trigger yet. c214 is interesting but im not sure i love it
