Synchronizing US federal elections on the same date reduced a form of electoral fraud: individuals voting multiple times across states. Turnout declined as neighboring states synchronized, consistent with repeating becoming more difficult. My paper w/ @briangknight.bsky.social on @jpube.bsky.social
