I think it's um rather interesting how desperate people are to believe that America can't possibly be invading a country that its conservatives have talked about invading every single year for the past forty six years except if a nefarious foreign force bribed it to.

For some reason, this immediately reminded me of how Joe Biden was able to give off-the-cuff remarks about "European munitions policy" that everyone in the press took as proof that his brain was oatmeal. bsky.app/profile/crai...

If you want to protect something from someone with ballistic missiles, LEO is a terrible place. And you're not putting datacenters in high orbits due to latency.
Though, let's be honest, no one is really going to do any of this. This is just a stock pumping scam by SpaceX/xAI/grok/ketamine.

"Going to space" and "going to space and staying there" are very different things. You don't need to do the latter if you just want to wreck someone's shit in orbit, and something in orbit cannot hide or run.

Since datacenters are being hit in the US's illegal war, I'm sure the "datacenters in space" dipshits are going to pretend that they need to put datacenters in space in order to make them safer. Like ballistic missiles can't go to space.

People keep acting like Democrats need to tolerate a little dash of paranoid antisemitism if they want to reach the salt of the earth hoi polloi, but the reality is that paranoid antisemitism is more natively the politics of downwardly mobile scions of privilege, like Platner for example.

I said this before, but the reason I know Platner is just cosplaying as working at his oyster farm is that he's perpetually sunburned and wears appropriate clothing for being on the water in exactly none of his farm's insta photos, while his employees wear sleeves and big hats like normal people.

I do think βGraham Platner was a bartender who personally served some DC pundits and reporters and was known to themβ is a pretty big part of the skeleton key to unlocking how he got so much cash and media attention so fast and why theyβre so determined to stay all in on him now

Checking my old school's tuition, today it is around $20K for sending towns. This is "free" for the student's family, as it is paid by the town. Not coincidentally, tuition is equal to the cost per student for a Vermont public high school.
Anyway, Hotchkiss costs $60K for day students.

My town in Vermont doesn't have a public high school, so we all went to the one private school in the area, with tuition paid for by the town. There are a limited number of such schools, and they are treated as semi-public by the state (to simplify tremendously).
Hotchkiss is very much not that.
