This is awesome. I've just been playing Daggerfall myself and I love its DOS aesthetic so much.

So colourful!

Some buttons might benefit from different emphasis. Atm they all have the same border and font size but maybe the big create character button could stick out a bit more. Otherwise the overall layout is fine overall i think it looks nice. Just double check colour contrast for a few areas

Try the web aim colour contrast analyser for testing foreground and background colours re:swatches. Also I personally prefer when it's easier to tell how many styles per category there are with a total number somewhere and maybe a box on the right or indicator for which one is currently selected

I'd say be careful with foreground and background colours for UI elements like the yellow on beige for the eyes is basically impossible to see. The flower shape genuinely makes it a bit difficult to quickly understand the colour, a simpler shape with an outline would be better for a swatch.

I appreciate that you've taken the time to describe and point out all the inconsistencies. I guess in the end I haven't kept up with the latest updates in how genAI can actually look pretty convincing now. It's pretty sad especially since I like making anime style art and this style is abused.

It's depressing how much better genAI has gotten at pixel art but I recommend reading the document Gors wrote since it explains with examples things to look out for.

it worries me that some of the errors are being claimed as AI when it could also equally apply to an artist who still has inconsistencies in their style due to still exploring or experimenting or other related reasons. It could be AI and if it is they're doing a pretty good job at hiding it.

The six fingered hand, maybe, but if someone was rushing I could see someone making that kind of mistake especially if they only made the mistake once. The other issues I think could be caused by an unexperienced artist with a somewhat inconsistent style. I think I find some of the works uncanny but

I remember seeing one of the non outlined artwork and thinking it was suspicious but many of these mistakes I can see as genuine human error. Style changes could be a red flag but also people are allowed to change their style and people can experiment. It's not so obvious to me that this is AI.

There's a setting in the Brush Tool to toggle anti aliasing level for the brush tip, it should be at the top where you specify the brush size (in the spanner settings icon)

Image Magick works pretty well with a resize and -filter point (nearest neighbor) settung. You can change color mode from RGB to CMYK and change ICC Profile as well if you need to.

To me it looks like a mix of the Castlevania Netflix TV Show, Bloodstained Ritual of the Night for the 2.5D and Hades for the flashy light effects and fast swishy special effects. Personally I think it could be cool but I'm worried about how dark it looks, you can't see the gothic visuals well.
