Maybe it is less about the United States and more about their current leadership?

Just saying.

Nothing is wrong at all, however, if I could get your prayers for something that would be really awesome.

Sen. Ossoff Statement on Iran
Atlanta, Ga. - U.S. Senator Jon Ossoff today released the following statement.
"Eight months ago, Donald Trump lied to the country when he claimed U.S. air strikes had 'obliterated' Iran's nuclear program.
"Now Trump says he's taken America to war for regime change in Iran.
"Trump has launched this regime change war and put American forces at risk without presenting evidence of an imminent threat, without clear objectives, without having exhausted diplomacy, without a plan for the aftermath, and without the consent of Congress.
"I oppose yet another regime change war-of-choice in the Middle East. Congress must convene immediately and pass a War Powers Resolution to assert our Constitutional authority over war and peace.
"The President has presented no evidence that Iran or its nuclear program β€” which he falsely claimed to have 'obliterated' β€” pose an imminent threat to the United States, or that diplomacy was exhausted. Iran's support for terrorism and uranium enrichment have long destabilized the region. But sending American forces into harm's way should only ever be a last resort.
"I pray for the safety of U.S. forces who have been ordered into battle and commend their extraordinary professionalism."

Ossoff’s statement is 1000x stronger than Schumer-Jeffries. This is a moderate Jewish Senator from a Trump state. The split isn’t moderate vs progressive, but leading vs poll-reacting

I want to be crystal clear here: I am not in support of these strikes. Nor am I in favour of them. I am simply saying that I presently lack enough information to take a stance.

I made a similar decision back in 2003 with the US invasion of Iraq, basing that decision of then-PM Tony Blair's decision to participate in that war. My neutrality was effectively wrong but it was so due to massive intelligence problems for the US and Britain.

That being said, I am totally willing to admit that there is not justification for the strikes, that whatever intelligence Carney, Stammer and Trump have seen is bogus, and that Iran could end up with an even worse government than before.

The same is also likely true with Sir Keir Stammer.

Carney's speech at Davos would normally make one think that he and Canada wouldn't be supportive of these strikes. However, Carney isn't an idiot. If he's seen information (even if that information is wrong) that supported the urgent need for strikes he would probably take the position he has.

Thus, both Carney and Stammer would have access to most of the same intelligence that Trump has been given.

Canada and the UK are both part of the so-called Five Eyes Alliance. This isn't a military alliance like NATO but an intelligence sharing alliance between the US, UK, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand.

The primary reason I am choosing to not speak out about these strikes isn't because I actually support them, but because Canadian PM Mark Carney and British PM Sir Keir Stammer are.

Let me explain...

I'm probably going to shock a few people, however, with regards to the US strikes on Iran I've decided to remain "neutral" until we get more information.

Why would I do that?
