NOTUS, btw, is a publication owned by a nonprofit.
If this comes to fruition, I'm not gonna say I called it, but…(see next skeet)…
“NOTUS Media in February filed an application to trademark a new name — The Washington Sun.”
I low-key hope that I somehow end up as an AI expert but instead of helping you, it just actively inserts typos into your copy and vacillates wildly between suggesting very serious paragraphs about religion and rambling diatribes about Star Wars and Thomas Paine and birding

There's evidence Dorsey had an epiphany about open protocols a while ago, but, on paper, what he really seems to want is Mastodon (which already exists)?
It's also unclear if he's actually pursuing that, and if he's interested on principle or bc he thinks protocols can elide moderation (or both).
There's been lots made of a story involving "Armageddon briefings" in the US military. There's also lotsa skepticism around it, mainly bc it seems none of the first-hand sources spoke to reporters.
If you're a member of the military who HAS experienced these briefings, my Signal is: jackmjenkins.60
Interestingly, this is an effort that has been in the works for a while.
The day Roe was overturned — and even in the months leading up to it — faith-based abortion rights activists were already talking to me about filing religious freedom lawsuits. religionnews.com/2022/06/25/a...
I've been writing for years about the strategy of challenging abortion bans as violations of religious liberty. www.politico.com/news/2023/06...
A court in Indiana just ruled that the state's abortion ban violates the religious liberty protections Mike Pence signed into law

Quote-posting specifically to note the presence of Johnnie Moore to Trump's left.
In Trump's first term, Moore effectively served as the spokesperson for Trump's evangelical advisors.
More recently, he helped lead the widely criticized Gaza Humanitarian Foundation. religionnews.com/2025/08/27/h...
True!
Also worth noting that the author of this piece is Aaron Renn, who co-founded the American Reformer and has ties to a lot of overtly Christian nationalist figures/efforts.
See @ruthgraham.bsky.social's big 'ol writeup on him from last year: www.nytimes.com/2025/03/06/u...
* SCOTUS only has one confirmed Protestant. The rest are Catholic, Jewish, and whatever Gorsuch is (raised Catholic, last attended an Episcopal church pre-SCOTUS, but unclear how he IDs)
** Mullin is Pentecostal. That's now widely regarded as evangelical, but that was more complicated in the past.
This piece is referring to SCOTUS*, but:
The Speaker of the House is an evangelical Christian, as is the Senate Majority Leader.

Exclusive: Russia is providing Iran with targeting information to attack American forces in the Middle East, the first indication that another major U.S. adversary is participating — even indirectly — in the war.
This shows the sort of data that Proton Mail, which prides itself both on end-to-end encryption and that it's only governed by Swiss privacy law, can provide to third parties. In this case, the FBI. @evystadium.bsky.social has more.

Official statements placing U.S. forces in the area – along w/ analysis of social posts, videos, sat. images – suggest U.S. forces bombed a school in Minab, Iran during strikes targeting an IRGC base. Over 150 were killed, Iranian officials say. www.nytimes.com/2026/03/05/w...
Maybe I'm kirking out but the unreality of this war is wild. People posting that thousands of Kurds are fighting the regime for the CIA, while the Kurds say it isn't happening. Every video of a missile attack I just have to assume is AI whether it is real or not.

Specifically, per his campaign website, Mullin and his family attend an Assemblies of God church. mullinforamerica.com/meet-markway...
