And the general lens of zooming out on minute bureaucratic transactions among individuals and seeing them as places where social relations at a higher scale are expressed is a lens that is often useful for navigating dynamics that are often left unconsidered by those participating in them.

I’m often tempted to write a book because of the carrot of learning about several topics to a sufficiently deep level to then justify having conversations with great thinkers during editing. I am hesitant because most authors of the technical books that I love describe the process as near torture.
