I went with Cassette Beast because I love its 2D pixel art style, and it went hard with its own unique identity and style. I also think it's funny how every step of the way they seemed to go "now how do we make this different than Pokemon" haha

In Japan, at the height of the Nintendo DS popularity, it was outselling every other single game system combined. A joke at the time was "Does Japan know the system is rechargeable?"

All this new pokemon talk finally got me to boot up Cassette Beasts on the Steam Deck. It's very good and delightfully different.

Forget the sad trend of fast food CEO trying to sell product by pretending to eat it, THIS is how you get me hungry for a burger!

Now I'm thinking about the hundreds of comics I made BEFORE the internet, just for my friends and myself. And then all the early internet ones that no longer exist online, just piles of paper now.

So keep your stuff safe and backed up, folks! You might want to look at them again decades from now.

I started with Zelda II as a kid, which I've still never beaten but always liked it's music and sense of adventure. I haven't played every one of the games, but some of my other favs are Link's Awakening, Oot, Wind Waker and Breath of the Wild
