Seems like an odd question but the WHO have highlighted disparate practise between 🇬🇧 and 🇺🇸…..and we are rewriting UK guidance atm, and I’d love to know what the rest of the world does with BALs for micro.

What is your national guidance for the laboratory processing of BAL fluid?!
In the UK we advise a semi quantitative culture to enumerate bacteria…..we have been told your guidance is culture of the centrifuged deposit.
