When you're scanning the map and have to do a comedy double-take.

You could just toggle visibility on duplicate meshes, each with a different mouth shape. It's kinda like blendshapes but without the blend.

That's what we did on Röki and Mythwrecked (although our mouth shapes were modelled in, rather than textured).

Also depends on whether it's first or third person. Weirdly, I've always called this the Tony Hawk effect. I noticed when playing the original games that a bench was actually the same size as the character when you stood them next to it, yet when moving and playing, it seemed correct

Getting the right dimensions for a simple doorway when making video games is tough!

Real world proportions often feel too tight and snaggy.

Push it too far and your characters start to look like children.

You aren’t supposed to beat these games without help though, you were supposed to drag a kitchen chair into your dads office so you can play together
