I actually like my gay (positive) job, never thought I would be in a situation where my work doesn’t make me want to die. It’s cool to basically help people get housing and feel supported for a living.

This is a stereotype about people from Illinois, and especially Chicago, that is generally true. I was raised in Wisconsin and learned to drive in the winter on rural hilly roads so I got good at it, but when everything is flat you have no fear in your soul of speeding or breaking too late lol

People from Wisconsin call people from Illinois "flatlanders" because of how badly they drive and how it's flat as fuck over here. Wisconsin at least has hills and geography but yeah, when I went to SF a couple years ago I was getting WINDED just walking around lmaoooo

The best and most interesting hardware and software have always been a product of autistic nerds very dedicated to a specific thing.

While it’s true that computer components have probably never been more expensive, it has long been true that if you are buying a new device rather than a refurbished (or used but in good condition) one, you’re basically throwing money away. Get a nerd to upgrade your components if you can’t DIY it.

This + one of my professors being an asshole about accessibility accomodations she legally has to agree to and implement is really fucking up my day, not going to lie

Nothing is working but I documented me troubleshooting the spyware web browser I have to use for school for 4 hours.

It is very rare for me to get actually mad at things, I am generally chilling, but this has me like actually frustrated and pissed off because of how stupid all of it is.

Oh my god it won’t let me start the midterm I need to take today because it doesn’t read my screen resolution accurately so the button is inaccessible and I can’t tab into it. Filed a support ticket with the LockDown browser people and emailed my professor so I have the issue documented.

I am very out of practice because I don’t really game anymore, but with some time to work on my speedrunning abilities I would be 100% down lol. I am not a competitive person (this is part of why I am not a good speedrunner or gaming competitions) so it would have to just be for fun
