ah, not as iterative as it might have been, given more time
I have many thoughts about using generative images, a large one being "we need to be way, way more thoughtful about their training and use". But there's also the lens of "they're the next step in a long evolution of tooling for creating expression", which feels important to explore
love your writing, Robin. I totally agree that it's not a great or fully fleshed out example, just playing around with the medium with very my little free time.
this I can agree with!
This time I was struck by a combination of no time (baby, new job, ++π
) and I honestly was just enjoying the little felt people. I think it's especially sloppy for the full-width images, just a side effect of my eternal effort to keep my inner perfectionist in check
hm, I understand your sentiment but I'm not sure I agree. Happy to discuss if you're looking for a discussion!
tell me more! is it the images or words that you dislike?
I can't write about bland interfaces with bland images!
my friend, I have a baby. I barely made this readable on mobile π«
I haven't! would love any insights on that as well
that's very fair! definitely something I should tackle the next time I have free time β€οΈ
right?! really makes me want to pick up a new hobby...
wrote up some thoughts on how our interfaces are getting flatter, and how we might design with π our bodies π€Έ in mind.

Do you think middle school sucks? Youβre not alone. @alv9n.com uses a survey of millions of students to show how our brains and our sense of belonging change in middle school.

going ham with this π
yesss such a good reference
hopefully soon!
love this! 100%, let's use AI as a tool instead of automation
sharing my silly workflow to create transitions between images:
1. throw images in an auto layout in @figma.com
2. clip a new image with the bottom and top of the two images
3. throw in Midjourney edit and generate some new images
4. paste that new image back into Figma and clip it
cute little responsive felt worlds π
