i initially felt conflicted about this when I was installing stuff, want to Play The Game, but I think I get it now ๐ฌ
Context: I think leafgreen is beautiful I wanna play the 2D games more but Iโm not sure I will make it to pewter gym because I wanna play with the pidgey and pikachu I caught but I need to move on in the game already
hey so this might be a crazy question that will make you think differently about me but how far back can I go in pokemon before the grinding and HMs feel like too much of a chore to enjoy the nostalgia?
I feel increasingly that games journalism offered a bunch of very trenchant critiques to this sort of thing happening but made the critical error of issuing the critique and moving on, and not reckoning the reality of what it meant to live alongside this. I include myself in this.
