Cloudflare Status Welcome to Cloudflare's home for real-time and historical data on system performance.

Love how cloudflarestatus.com is already like "outage? what outage? nothing wrong with CloudFlare today!". Really glad I put a link to that in my email to customers today as part of the explanation of what happened earlier today. Thanks @cloudflare.social!

cloudflare's on-duty IT staff bangs on the doors which I have padlocked from the inside as I calmly break open lava lamp after lava lamp and drink the contents

Hello #ffconf from Pippin

Enjoyed Chet's talk a lot even if he did call us all influencers 😲

Went to contact Stripe support today and found there doesn't appear to be any way to do that. Just an LLM AI Assistant that can only tell you what's in the public documentation.

As my (and many many other) businesses rely on Stripe that's pretty terrifying. Seems so short sighted.

Selected the wrong box on an #AWS S3 rule and it ended up costing $900+. Yikes!

Not only that, it does not throw any error if you give some random type.

CREATE TABLE t(value TIMMYSTAMP);

There is no TIMMYSTAMP type, but SQLite accepts this happily.

SQLite has five types: NULL, INTEGER, REAL, TEXT, BLOB. Want to know something cursed? The type affinity works by substring match!

CREATE TABLE t(value SPONGEBLOB) --- This is BLOB type!
So yeah, this happens too:

Note that a declared type of β€œFLOATING POINT” would give INTEGER affinity, not REAL affinity, due to the β€œINT” at the end of β€œPOINT”.

First try making my own dumplings (including the casings). Filled with pork, garlic and ginger. Fried to make the bottoms crispy then steamed the rest of the way. A bit lumpy and misshapen, but delcious!

Ate with some steamed pak choi (not pictured) πŸ˜‹

Have all the regular attendees of the Spectator Garden Party condemned their friend Rod Liddle, supporter of Golden Dawn, the Wehrmacht, sexually assaulting young girls, and now the mass murder of young people?

it’s absurd that NYT forced him to delete these skeets, which … convey the factual information that Zohran Mamdani is, in fact, a man of South Asian descent who was born and raised in Africa, and that the pseudonymous source of the hacked material is a white supremacist eugenicist.

Forgot to mention it also had salmon in it! Just a couple of frozen fillets roasted for 25 mins.

Close up of pasta. Looks kinda like thick tagliatelle. Sauce, flakes of salmon and black pepper are visible.

Same as the other photo except pulling back a bit more to show the bowl containing the pasta.

First time making my own pasta. Don't have the equipment so just rolled out with a rolling pin. Made up a sauce as I went along with shallots, a white wine reduction, chick stock and lemon juice (not sure if sauce has a name, but is delicious). Pleased with it, good texture and very tasty πŸ˜‹

I just voted against proscribing Palestine Action, a civil disobedience group, as a terrorist organisation. But I'm furious that in doing so, the government forced me and others to vote against proscribing two other clearly terrorist groups. Cynical and dangerous from govt.

Drowning Doesn’t Look Like Drowning Drowning is not the violent, splashing call for help that most people expect.

Thanks for the reminder @janemunday.bsky.social. Every summer, I repost this article DROWNING DOES NOT LOOK LIKE DROWNING. To date, I know of FOUR kids who were saved after someone who'd clicked on the link learnt how to spot actual drowning. Take time to read and pass on.
