yeah as it says in the guide when I've applied for medicaid it's been approved p much immediately online and then I've been able to use it immediately so I'm hopeful it can be like that for others
for me it usually takes a week or two to get approved for medicaid. but that's for low income, not for disability or minor reasons, so can't be certain what it'll be like for you. once ur approved they can pay for stuff up to 3 months back in WA. watransguide.org might have more info
I don't know about OR but in WA getting on medicaid is quick/easy IME. 3 months of retroactive coverage.
+every hospital has free care for low income patients.
in particular UW has financial assistance that I've utilized personally, incl primary care and pharmacy. free care under 300% of the FPL.
I helped set up our relo team but I don't work with it personally at the moment. only our ED is staff but the relo director gets a stipend too. I'll ask her what our capacity looks like and get back to you

π¨ In the latest tally, Katie Wilson has once again gained vote share in the Seattle mayoral race and officially taken a narrow lead. Today's batch broke 55.57% for Wilson and 44.13% for Bruce Harrell. Wilson now still leads with 49.83% of the vote while Harrell still trails with 49.79% of the vote.
King County counted another 38,391 ballots in the mayoral race today, bringing the total number of ballots counted to 267,875. There's still more than 10,000 ballots to be counted.
Eight months ago, Katie Wilson declared her intention to run and all the conventional powers-that-be said she didn't stand a chance of winning.
