TIL that the apple's ai models actually already support different languages
then why is it taking so long to release 'apple intelligence' to other countries
surprisingly, the battery life on iOS seems actually pretty decent for a beta.
macOS on the other hand is causing my battery to drain a bit faster than normal, but nothing much to complain about.
hard work will run laps around talent if talent does not work hard
correction.
camera control seems to be turned off?
go to;
camera > camera control > camera adjustments
turn camera adjustments on, and select the controls you want to use
weird move, apple.
so far;
macOS launchpad is non existent now. you cannot delete appstore apps from launchpad anymore
(either remove it from the applications folder. or, like i had to do with Xcode, sudo rm -rf the application.)
safari on mac is really laggy. compact tab mode seems to be removed
1/2
also
what the hell happened to launchpad?????
picture showing the new tab bar of safari in macOS 26 (tahoe), where they presumably removed compact tab mode
this actually sucks.
it seems like they removed having your open tabs at the top of the screen in compact mode. (i.e. the compact tab layout)
this wastes so much space..
iβm so excited this is out there in the world now!!! π₯Ήπ₯Ή #swiftlang #containers
github.com/apple/container
github.com/apple/containerization
that being said though...
they are really looking nice so far.

i forgot how unstable the iOS/macOS betas were
liquid glass looks interesting
but i wonder how accessibility will be affected by it
boredom is a vacuum that your brain hates, but when bored for long enough, your brain will fill it with creative output.
be bored. be creative.
the only good answer

congrats @excalidraw.com on 100k stars on github!

with things like this happening i wonder what they (in this case microsoft) hope to get out of this in the long term
microsoft and all the other tech giants are burning money providing AI so cheap (or even for free)
sure, they have practically limitless resources, but how long does that last?
Bluesky profile with βlive nowβ indicator
Weβre testing a new feature! Starting this week, select accounts can add a livestream link to sites like YouTube or Twitch, and their Bluesky profile will show theyβre live now.
the flow is the best place to be
copilot is anti fun :(
did bluesky just got its own '@grok is this real'?
also, if you're interested in the source code at all:
github.com/nielsjaspers/gradient-bg-generator
one of the reasons i love being a software dev is that if you need something, you can (and should!) build it.
i needed a local gradient background generator, so i made my own >> gradient.nielsjaspers.com
it is simple and limited, but it fits my use case.

How could you not be impressed by a bird in your yard? This dude can fly anywhere and it came here to hang out with you
HTML is not a programming language
reality eventually reasserts itself. "smart" is always what it takes to adapt to one's environment, whether that's preserving attention span despite dopamine saturation (the past ten years), or acquiring independent thinking despite automated reasoning (the next ten years)
