Would the number relate in any way to 163? I've done it so many times I can't even count, lean my hand against the alt key as I'm typing a number? That'll do it.

That's the symbol for a pound sterling. I'm embarrassed that I had to look that up. It can be reproduced in ASCII by pressing in holding down the alt key and then typing 163. ALT-163
