Paternal grandfather worked for the same agency I do (as my father did as well), plus had a real estate hustle on the side. Maternal grandfather managed traffic for the Southern Pacific Railroad, eventually became an exec. Retired to grow roses and write poetry. Both grew up on a farm.

What always cracks me up is people from the suburbs who think of the entire city as "Downtown." Honey, Roland Park is not Downtown.

Downtown is bounded by Conway, Howard, Mulberry, and the Jones Falls. South is Otterbein, west is the Westside, north is Mount Vernon, and east is Oldtown and Harbor East.
