Decided to give the blog a new lick of paint to match the vibes im putting across in DQ&Ds release. Also features a lil sneak at the art i've put together for the mortified saint that'll be in the first drop of monsters.
Sketched out the rules and descriptions for Seven Deaths, Greay Maidens, the Condemmed, Mortified Saints, Choristers, and the Twiceborn today. Gonna try and get some witch stuff and some bog critters to go with them and update the itch with that tasting plater of monsters early next week.
D36 backgrounds is such a satisfying little slice of a game world though! Its a just big enough set that you kinda have to start pushing yourself to get weird with it and define the strange edges of a setting.
Is this about the nightborne, darkfallen, nightfallen, fellborne, fell blooded, or the void dwelling ren'dorei because its a little hard to keep track if im honest
Being explained WoW lore by some friends. Apparently most of this is just wells, blowing up wells, and wells that make elves, and things that get locked away for 10'000 years for various elf well based reasons.
I should get back into beat saber. I think a rythme game might trick me into exercise lmao.

The rules and rulesets you create don't have to answer to people who don't choose to use them. They have to answer to the people who do choose to use them.
The fun thing about writing for Violence the last few days is that the system falls almost entirely into the background and I can just write very naturally. A mundane and modern setting helps even more because we all know the world so I can focus on the interesting aspects, the odd characters, etc.

The stats are looking okay, if on the lower side. If you really need to succeed on something gathering appropriate gear or finding the right approach to use a skill is essential. Fail to prepare for danger, and you'll almost never have even 50/50 odds. Gear is the lifeline. Dredge for it often.

Saluting. I've lurked on the edges of similar scenes for a *very* long time. Come to peace after attempting that style of fiction that what I want to make (ratty collaged zine things and TTRPG stuff) will differ from what I enjoy (freak shit).

we got a full 36 weird classes up in this thing and they're all little freaks. What if speaking draconic made you a poet? What if boiling salt water let you create wards against lies? What if "Former Mayor" was a whole ass kind of guy you could be.
The playtest for Dredge Quick and Drown is live, for free, on my itch! Its a game sort of like if you took the Southern Reach Trilogy and set it on the edge of Ankh Morpork. Its also about the only part of Dark Souls that matters: the poison swamps.

Birch is a disciple of fir, eldest of initiates. It spreads its roots wide not deep. Every silver tree from Runoff to Writhing to Litany is her, so the stories say. She would say that though, wouldnt she?
Hazel is attempting to learn how sail home. Salt repels the lie of her form, but she is island born and didnt know how much she would miss the groves of her home. On needle point it disects fish that dwell in waters merely brackish.
Hawthorne is the youngest, shes still basically all person. She plays at fermentation with heretic nuns of the Brewing Convent, and in turn protects them from the hostile elements of both their sisterhoods.
Fir is the eldest. Cold. Patient. It has been sat in silence digging her roots deep into the earth so she might feel a mountains firmament. It is unclear what it might become once she knows the name of the mountain.
