When I went to Calais, I was not there to encourage people to travel to the UK. And for anything that Windows is the only option, you can always install UTM (free) and virtualise Windows. Useful for travel, if nothing else.

The only real issue I have with Apple these days is nothing is upgradable once you’ve bought it. But I’m skint, so meh.
It’s running on Apple Silicon. 8gb is more than sufficient for it. I’ve an M1 Mac Mini from 2020 and it’s still running well, given it’s half a decade old. I don’t use it for anything massively taxing, but have used it to run ARM Windows 11 in UTM on one screen while web browsing in MacOS on another
Looked at the BBC News article floating the idea of reducing the cost of the licence fee if the requirement to pay is extended out from viewing of live TV. It’s a solid, workable idea. People below the line whinging about having to pay for the BBC while actively using the BBC site. Bunch of cunts.
