Someday, we will find out who elevated Platner before Katz, and mark my words, they will be someone incredibly shady and two-faced.
Something just doesn’t add up.

look man i cant lie to you, i hate israel with all my heart, and i want it gone in my lifetime, i hate it so much it physically hurts if i think on it too much, i hate every single israeli citizen and i hate the institutions that enable that state to persist, and i hate you for your smug ambivalence
Buddy I think you need therapy not posting or doomscrolling
When we talk about Red states, there is this perception that they are already a lost cause. People spend less money, pay less attention to the candidates and don’t respect the pain and suffering of the people in those states.
So I think we should change the narrative. These aren’t Red states, there’s no such thing. There’s no state without at least one Democratic stronghold.
But Ohio! Is by far one of THE most gerrymandered states in the country But Utah! Have you seen Salt Lake City? But Tennessee! Wait till I tell you about Memphis and Nashville.
Get the point? All of these states and so many more have something in common, they’re mostly gerrymandered to hell at state and federal level, and there’s so much voter suppression.
Introducing “Gray States” the concept that you can’t know how a state would actually vote if the voter suppression keeps so many people from voting. No state is worth writing off and every single state deserves to find out what their color truly is

This is not the best part of the firing, but it’s in the Top 10.

Mayor Mamdani and a child play with Legos while looking very serious and concentrated. The child is impossibly adorable and wearing tiny blue glasses.
No interruptions, please. We’re building universal child care.
So let me get this straight ...
1. US bombs Iran
2. Oil price goes up a bit, benefitting Russia's petrostate
3. Russia gives Iran targeting info
4. Oil price shoots WAY up
5. US unsanctions Russian oil
damn, if the Childcrusher 5000 GTX pickup truck owners can’t afford gas, how are they going to be able to tote their massive loads of a single loaf of bread and a canned Starbucks latte
This is one of the most jaw dropping moments of Trump’s presidency. Up there with brainstorming about injecting bleach and shining light up orifices to cure COVID.
helps quite a bit if I'm being honest
I want to hear about sequels (or prequels) you like more than the originals, but especially where your opinion isn’t the broadly accepted one. Mine:
Avatar: The Way of Water
Frozen II
Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade
Thor: The Dark World
Wonka
don't forget the speedboats chucking antiship missiles that were bigger than the boats
(If you've already got light speed motorcycles I suppose such a violation of the laws of physics is a piece of cake)
good lort
they made a warfare situationship 😭
bruh
>war isn’t like my video games and is actually filled with deeply morally distasteful acts that are nevertheless legal and oftentimes pragmatically necessary to do
I think it's kind of endearing how we tell these guys "war is very horrible, its power to kill and destroy is unimaginable" and they're like "Did the guys on the torpedoed ship even get a chance to file an appeal or anything? This is an outrage, we need to tell war's manager we're going to boycott!"
I mean, I think there's a case you can make that it was a bad decision in terms of optics and diplomatic effects, but it's another case of people conflating "I disagree with the war"/"I don't like what was done" and "the conduct in the war is illegal."
Remember when The Who’s lead singer had a charity to give a bit of chicken to people just below the nobility, but the door broke so nobody got in so he commissioned a report to find what went wrong?
It was certainly enlightening to read the Daltrey Gentry Paltry Poultry Pantry’s entry fault tree.

Which quick Google? Where's the evidence that this was the case for *Platner*?
Susan Collins just gave Donald Trump the green light to take further unilateral military action that could push the United States into another endless war without oversight.
She doesn't have the courage to stand up to the President, even when American lives are on the line.
That his family isn't upper middle class/rich, that his oystering "is not a hobby, it's his work." Cuz the justification for that is: well *maybe* this happened (re:private school) and *supposedly* his friends reached out re: oystering.

Incredible
............no there is no "timeout----just kidding TIME IN GOT YOU" rule for war
if you're declaring yourself a noncombatant then you need to go find a neutral port to hole up in and be interned until the hostilities are over
They were on their way back home to - one assumes - act as a warship because Iran and the US were having a war
"Uniformed members of a military on a warship are noncombatants actually"
