For tapes, ive had the same tariffs applied many times. For vinyl in particular, definitely speak to your rep immediately if it happens, as I've heard that can be a little different
The rep said they've heard some other reports; my rep is in the UK and he seems confused as well.

I saw! Shortly after I posted this. I wonder if I still have to pay it now.
Also, it wasn't for the cassettes. It was for test pressings, which aren't even meant to be sold.
So apparently physical music media manufacturing orders are NOT exempt from the current US regime's tariffs, despite legal advice to the contrary.
I just got a tariff bill from FedEx for the "Go-Go Groove" cassettes. I can only imagine what the bill will be for the vinyl.
